Job Description
The Pacific Islands Heritage Coalition is hiring a flexible and remote Administrative Assistant Consultant to support our team. Core responsibilities include the following:
- Arrange travel, including flights, accommodations, and transportation.
- Manage scheduling for meetings and events, including venue booking, catering, and logistics coordination.
- Oversee light accounting and billing tasks, including processing reimbursements, submitting invoices, and tracking payments with our fiscal sponsor.
- Coordinate the Coalition’s schwag and other collateral materials.
- Communication coordination with scientists, cultural practitioners, ocean advocates, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain and update online organizational files, spreadsheets, and other documents.
Compensation: $25 per hour, paid upon submission of a monthly invoice.
Hours: This contract position guarantees 10 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours. The role has a flexible schedule and is deliverable-based.
Remote / Location: This is a remote position. Ideally, the consultant would be based on Oʻahu, Hawai’i.
Qualifications: We’re looking for a proactive and resourceful individual with prior administrative experience on the core responsibilities listed. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently in a dynamic and flexible environment, and the interpersonal skills to thrive among a diverse group of people.
